The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate the murder of Hemantkumar Maganlal Chauhan, 57, of Wilmington. Today marks the 10e anniversary of this unsolved murder.

Friday, November 2n/a, 2012, Hemantkumar Maganlal Chauhan, owner of Penn-Bantum Market located at 418 Newport Gap Pike Wilmington, DE, was working when a male suspect entered the store armed with a knife. The suspect jumped over the counter and got into a physical altercation with the victim which resulted in him being stabbed. Chauhan later died of injuries sustained in the incident.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male, approximately 5’10”-6′ tall, muscular, wearing a black hooded jacket, baseball cap, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is investigating this incident. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Detective Maher by calling 302-739-5939.
